Engines-Running Deicing Training Program

Course Description:

"Engines-Running Deicing" or ERD refers to all de/anti-icing activities conducted with aircraft engines running. Such operations are typically conducted at a dedicated deicing facility (DDF), central deicing facility (CDF) or remote pad. 

This course provides generic requirements, procedures, and safety considerations for aircraft ground de/anti-icing activities with aircraft engines running. This course should not be considered a stand-alone deicing training course and must be used in association with a comprehensive aircraft ground deicing training program. 

Only personnel who have been fully qualified and certified as a deicing operator (DI-L10 or DI-L20) shall take this ERD Training.


Who should take this Course?

This course is intended for deicing operators who have achieved their DI-L10 or DI-L20 qualification levels and will perform ERD operations.

Course Completion:

After completion of the online Training Program, all participants will be issued a Certificate of Completion, which will be valid from the date of completion until June 30, 2025.
